NOTE

Learning a Sequence of the Keys on the Piano

Remembering sequences of lights and tit is easy when there are only a few, but becomes serious work with 20 or 30. The key is to incorporate random intervals of doing nothing while learning. This applies to tasks like playing piano or solving math problems. When we sleep, our brain rapidly replays these sequences, reinforcing learning. By introducing brief gaps while awake, we can get more repetitions and improve learning efficiency. These random intervals are called gap effects.
