In Cells Could Become the Next Vikings

Throughout history, there have always been groups of men who couldn't find partners, similar to today's incels. In the past, societies would send them to war or put them in monasteries to give them purpose. However, these options are not available today. While online misogyny and extreme language can cause harm, the internet may be distracting incels from causing trouble in the real world. It could also be hijacking their status-seeking mechanisms. Additionally, pornography might be hijacking men's mating-seeking behaviors by giving them a false sense of evolutionary success. Overall, the internet may be pacifying what would otherwise be a more dangerous group.
