Text is the most ubiquitous and the least ergonomic information display user interface element in the world./nText is everywhere and it's kind of rampant in software because it's the easiest thing to put in a piece of program./nBut it's also ubiquitous in the real world like street signs menus instruction manuals notes text is everywhere and it's not really designed for the way that humans experience the world./nLike it's these like chicken scratches on pieces of paper that we kind of formalized but it's humans don't interact with them in the way that we interact with any other kind of like object in the world./nOne way to approach the question of consuming text is to look at a page of text as a kind of data display and apply the same rules that you use to build good data visualizations./nTo treat Texas data visualization without removing the text from it, you can apply classic enthalpy techniques.
