Many venture firms have not effectively managed capital in recent years, leading to cautiousness among Limited Partners (LPs) due to the losses incurred. LPs are now more prudent in their investments, recognizing the significant variance in the performance of venture capital firms. Successful funds can at least return one X, but similar to startups, funds also follow a power law, with a few standout performers driving most of the returns.
