NOTE

The Evolution of Word Meanings

The word 'tagir' was originally used for the wine seller in old Arabic, referring to someone who sold, served, stored and entertained with wine. Over time, it began to represent anyone who makes money from various activities. Another word, 'l'ahu', commonly translated as distraction, actually refers to the uvula or the object dropped in a grinder to make wheat. It symbolizes being deeply absorbed in an activity, like watching a movie or playing a game and losing track of time, getting completely engrossed to the point where the world around you fades away. This concept of being completely absorbed was even associated with the prophets in their activities.
