In Gaza, people are happy that the case is moving forward, but they wanted to see a ceasefire ordered. Other Palestinian leaders see it as a recognition of Israel's campaign as potentially being seen as a genocide, which is a win in terms of the global narrative. On the Israeli side, there's outrage, as the connection of Israel to genocide is considered wrong and offensive. The charge of genocide is seen as false and outrageous, with a pledge from Israel's prime minister to never let it happen again.
