People who have a connection to medical knowledge and the medical system are much more likely to get things that they needed. Your speed to getting the right care is often through people who encourage you to go in when that stomach ache starts, not when it's terrible. "When you have access to a system where the finances aren't a barrier to getting in the door," she says.
