Identifying Tribal Biases

Recognize tribal biases by noticing when motives of actors and morality of their actions are being judged, or when alternative viewpoints are viewed as inherently evil instead of simply wrong. Be cautious of assuming malicious intent without solid evidence as it often reflects tribal biases. Avoid mind-reading others' intentions as it can lead to inaccurate assumptions. If expressing certain viewpoints feels risky due to potential backlash from a larger group, it may indicate tribal biases at play.
