The Change in the Way We Consume Content

The way we consume content has evolved due to the abundance of offerings and our shrinking attention spans. Unlike in the past, where we committed to and lived with one piece of content, today we are bombarded with a constant stream of new content, making even our favorite pieces feel disposable. This shift is evident in how fewer people now collectively experience and remember iconic works like movies such as 'The Godfather.' While this change has its advantages, like instant access to any content we desire, it also leads to a sense of fleeting significance for the creative work we produce as it quickly comes and goes without the lasting impact of the past.
