Evolution of Control Logic in AI Systems
The control logic in AI systems, when combined with a language model, leads to interesting outcomes. The evolution of control logic in generative AI systems involves different layers. Layer zero control logic in basic chatbots like Chat GPT implements auto-regression. It takes a user prompt, submits it to the language model, retrieves a word or part of a word, expands the input, appends it, generates the next word, and continues this process until a complete answer is obtained. This control logic enables the system to provide lengthy responses by continuously using the same language model.
