Ep. 248: Decoding Overload
Deep Questions with Cal Newport
The Dangers of Overhead Saturation
Overhead saturation can be a dangerous situation, even more so than the execution of tasks. Small work commitments, when added up, can become overwhelming and consume a significant amount of time and energy. Although each individual task may not seem that big, the cumulative effect can be detrimental. This can lead to a situation where one is constantly dealing with requests and conversations, resulting in a lack of time to focus on important projects. The feeling of busyness without actually accomplishing anything can be a result of overhead saturation. Ultimately, it is important to manage overhead effectively, as it can have a significant impact on productivity and output.
