Getting older has made me love poetry, especially that of St. John, who some consider the best Spanish poet ever. He wrote about reaching satisfaction in having nothing and being everything, while Teresa urged people to rely on God alone and not be afraid of change. Active spirituality is important for progress, but love is the ultimate goal.
