Creating Engaging Stories in Dungeons and Dragons Campaigns

The overall campaign is like a big long story with little mini-stories for each character and adventure they go on/nFrom the DMS's perspective, they just throw stuff at the party and see what they do/nThe DMS gives the party situations and lets them decide what to do with them/nIn one example, the party was faced with a goblin attack and the introduction of a new character, with multiple possible outcomes depending on their actions
