Bitcoin mining is permissionless, meaning anyone can mine it regardless of country or jurisdiction./nThe United States currently has the highest hash rate at 38%, followed by China with 21%./nDespite China's attempt to ban Bitcoin mining and their industry's decline in 2021, they have since reversed course and regained their position as the second highest hash rate.
