The Myth of Information Transfer in the Church

The belief that spiritual transformation occurs solely through information transfer, such as attending Bible studies or reading religious books, is a myth. Increasing knowledge of the Bible does not directly lead to a growth in Christlikeness. Another misconception is the idea that one does not need to take any action for spiritual growth, attributing everything to God while being passive. This 'let go and let God' approach is criticized for its lack of theological depth and compared to the Matrix movie, where skills are acquired instantly through downloads.
