Reframing Work: Children's Innate Desire to Contribute
Work is naturally effortful but not joyless, and children are inherently interested in undertaking tasks to achieve goals, as seen in their determination to learn new skills. Even very young children display a desire to contribute and engage in activities that mimic real work, such as helping with household chores or imitating adults. This innate inclination towards work is devoid of the negative perception often associated with work in adulthood, as children approach tasks with enthusiasm and genuine interest in participating.
