Many insurance companies offer whole life insurance, but they make huge profits by charging you monthly premiums for years until you die. They can earn two to three times the death benefit amount. This applies to whole life insurance, variable life insurance, and universal life insurance. I don't recommend these policies because the premiums are extremely high, and insurance agents receive significant financial incentives to sell them to you.
