Artificial intelligence is often subject to magical thinking, where people ascribe it capabilities beyond reality due to its exciting nature and lack of complete understanding. This phenomenon has been observed since the early days of AI research, where humans tend to fall in love with AI and assign it exaggerated capabilities because of its allure and complexity.
Rachel Price is a Principal Information Architect at Microsoft and teaches Information Architecture at the School of Visual Concepts in Seattle.
