NOTE

The Myth of Pandemonium

Worldly pleasures are depicted in mythical beings, seen through the derivation of the word 'panic' from the source of contagious fear. Fear sharpens perceptions to overcome danger, while anxiety blurs perceptions. 'Pandemonium', coined by John Milton, symbolizes chaos in the capital city of hell. The concept of scapegoating, from the ritual involving goats bearing sins, shows how individuals transfer blame onto others unconsciously. Carl Jung's idea of Christ crucified between thieves highlights the redemption role of the scapegoat. The shadow, the unknown part of ourselves, emerges when ignored, leading to projection onto others. This collective shadow affects humanity, causing negative traits to manifest. Unrecognized negative aspects create internal and external conflicts, leading to painful accusations and lingering wounds.
