Understanding Our Brain's Survival Mechanism and Upgrading Our Thinking

Our brain is wired to store and recall past experiences in order to protect us from potential threats. This survival mechanism leaves room for false positives, where we overreact to harmless situations, as it is preferable to false negatives, where we disregard actual threats. However, in the complex modern world, this mechanism often becomes unhelpful. By consciously reevaluating our beliefs and installing empowering thoughts, we can upgrade our thinking and reshape our experiences. Our perception of reality is heavily influenced by our expectations, and taking ownership of our experiences allows us to control how we respond to external circumstances. Accepting responsibility for both positive and negative experiences can be challenging, but it ultimately empowers us to shape our own reality.
