NOTE

Uniformity Leads to Simultaneous Maintenance Needs

Building houses in a cookie-cutter fashion, where all homes are constructed simultaneously with the same materials, leads to all the houses experiencing maintenance issues at the same time. Roofs, sidings, sidewalks, appliances, and other components are likely to fail concurrently in such developments because they were all built to last for the same duration, resulting in a wave of maintenance needs hitting the entire neighborhood at once. In contrast, organic development allows for gradual construction and maintenance, preventing the simultaneous decay and intense maintenance requirements seen in uniform developments.
