Emotions Are Data
Our emotions are signposts to the things that we care about. When you feel grief, that grief is a signpost of love looking for its home. Boredom might be a sign post that you value learning and growth. If you have a piece of paper and imaginary piece of paper, see if you can flip that piece of paper over. And instead of doing a pollyanna and trying to be positive about that emotion, ask yourself a different question. Ask yourself, what is the need, or what is the value that this emotion is pointing to and that i could start moving towards?
