The Challenge of Machine Perception in Art

Novels in the mid-20th century had a cult of showing the world in a fresh way. Could a machine achieve that level of perception? With access to all human texts, it might be possible. This challenges our ideas of what machines can do. I look for human elements in art now. For example, Nabokov's description of Pinin's teeth in his book is a lovely detail.
