Developing Critical Thinking Through Reading and Journalism

Reading books and analyzing characters helps build critical thinking. Math is also beneficial, but the best way to develop critical thinking is to actually do it. Journalism, with its focus on analyzing data and evaluating information, is a great way to practice critical thinking. Parents can encourage critical thinking in children by reading books together and discussing the characters' decisions. Simply reading by yourself can also be helpful, but engaging in discussions is recommended.
