ADHD and BPD Comorbidity

ADHD is significantly associated with BPD, with studies showing high comorbidity rates. Individuals with ADHD are at a higher risk of later developing BPD than expected by chance. The presence of ADHD in individuals with BPD is linked to higher rates of substance abuse, cannabis dependence, antisocial personality disorder, obsessive-compulsive personality disorder, and suicidal behavior.
