NOTE

Exploration of the Validity of Emotions and their Impact on Behavior

Emotions are not always valid in the sense of being good or producing good outcomes. The overflow of the heart reflects in our words, showcasing anger, bitterness, jealousy, and other negative emotions that were already present within. Not every emotion needs validation as some, like anger from selfishness, are not warranted or acceptable. Gaslighting by invalidating emotions is not helpful; rather, understanding the root cause of emotions is vital. Legitimate anger, such as towards abuse, can be productive, but reacting sinfully or selfishly is wrongful. Evaluating the source of emotions helps in determining the appropriate response, steering away from negative behaviors and unproductive expressions.
