Historical Unraveling of Mongol Empire

Historical texts suggest Monke's confirmation as the next Great Khan in 1251-52, possibly influencing the glorification of his father, Touloui, in the secret history. The exact date of when the secret history was written remains uncertain, although it was highly valued as an official history of the Mongol people. The Mongol Empire's expansion culminated in the conquest of the southern Song Dynasty in 1279 and the establishment of the Yuan Dynasty in China by Kublakan. Additionally, the Mongols ventured westward, conquering Persia and creating the Khanate in 1256, known as Echanid, which endured until 1335.
