The Mystery of Dark Matter
Only 5% of the universe is made of the visible matter we're familiar with, while the remaining 95% is comprised of dark matter and dark energy. Dark matter has been a mystery for over 100 years and scientists are finally starting to give it attention. It makes up 25% of the universe's energy, while ordinary matter only makes up 5%. Dark matter is so abundant that it holds our galaxy together. Just like a fish discovering water, we are now realizing the need to understand dark matter. The other 70% is dark energy. Mind-blowing!
