Question the Assumption

• Problem statements contain unquestioned assumptions: Instead of directly addressing the stated problem, examine its underlying assumptions.
• Example assumptions: "I'm slammed right now," "I don't have enough money," "I'm not enlightened." These contain hidden assumptions about time, resources, and the nature of enlightenment.
• Deconstruct the problem: Ask questions like, "Am I enlightened?" or "Is enlightenment an achievement?" This challenges the assumptions about who or what achieves enlightenment.
• Two potential outcomes: By questioning assumptions, problems may dissolve entirely, or they might become easier to address.
