The project for Lorenzo's Oil employed a 'worst-case scenario' approach, known as the what if system, which allowed for spontaneous creativity instead of a rigid storyboarding process. In contrast, the production of Fury Road was thoroughly planned with detailed storyboarding from the outset. This highlights the differences in creative processes between the two projects, where one embraced flexibility and improvisation while the other relied on meticulous pre-visualization.
