Evolution of Browsers and Alliances

Different web browsers like Chrome, Safari, and Firefox have shifted their focus and alliances over time. Initially, Chrome pursued low-level stuff, Safari was less focused, and Firefox pursued low-level content due to Firefox OS. However, Safari started adopting more low-level content, Chrome shifted focus to high-level CSS, and Firefox aligned with Safari due to privacy concerns. The Extensible Web Manifesto emerged to emphasize providing developers with building blocks and acknowledging that browser engineers are not web developers.
