Long-Term Coffee Consumption and Blood Pressure
Regular consumption of coffee over time does not lead to an increased risk of hypertension. Studies comparing coffee intake with dietary patterns without coffee, or regular coffee with decaf coffee over time, show no significant difference in the development of hypertension. Unlike acute use of caffeine that may temporarily increase blood pressure, habitual consumption of coffee does not seem to elevate the risk of chronically elevated blood pressure.
