Growing up, I witnessed a shocking scene where a young man was left gasping for air and bleeding, with no one helping him due to police regulations. This inspired me to train bystanders in how to deal with gunshot wounds and the laws protecting them. I have trained over 7,000 youth in Chicago's South side, equipping them with the skills to handle such emergencies. These memories are vivid in my mind, just like the memory of my brother's tragic death. By empowering young men, we can hope to create a safer community and reduce violence.
