On the vulnerability of the European grid
There are two major trends that have converged into a crisis. The introduction of massive amounts of intermittent sources of power into the european electricity grid has caused significant damage to that grid. concurrent with that has been a reluctance to produce their own fossil fuels and an over reliance on cheap, steady, readily available, pipe line source natural gas from russia. And then third, the attack on nuclear power. So if you're going to introduce intermittency while simultaneously attacking base load, while simultaneously a out sourcing the drilling and and processing and production of your fossil fuels, you leave yourself extraordinarily vulnerable.
