What Are Tealic Activities?
A distinction that really helped me was a distinction between what I call tealic and atelic activities so this comes from jargon is from linguistics but it comes from the Greek telosol end. You can think of a tealic activity as a project with an endpoint and lots of our lives are structured by projects and they do matter. The more we focus on the process those atelic Activities the less we're mortgaging the meaning of our lives to the future or archiving it in the past. That was the other big shift in how I approached my own life.
