Emotions such as anger can cloud judgment, leading to regrettable actions. Ego and the need to please others can cause individuals to agree to things they don't want. The self-preservation instinct drives individuals to seek approval to fit into the tribe. Inertia keeps people in unfulfilling relationships or jobs, as they fear change. Instead of waiting for the world to recognize their potential, individuals should proactively pursue change.
