Challenges in Health System and Social Security

The health system primarily focuses on treating illnesses rather than preventing them, which is problematic for age-related diseases where one illness leads to another rapidly. Additionally, the high healthcare expenditure is heavily tilted towards treatment rather than prevention. Regarding social security, efforts to make people work longer by raising the retirement age overlook the reality that many individuals leave the workforce around the age of 50 due to various reasons like illness, caregiving responsibilities, outdated skills, or ageism. There is a need to address these factors to enable individuals to work until the retirement age effectively.
