There are numerous systems and tools for organizing thoughts and tasks, and the key is to find what works for you personally. It is crucial to understand your preferences and the nature of your work to establish a trusted system. When trust in your tools breaks down, productivity suffers. Therefore, regardless of the method, aim for minimalism by consolidating thoughts into as few places as possible. Consistently channeling ideas into one or a few inboxes enhances clarity and reliability in your workflow.

While exploring bad meetings a few episodes ago, Rodney and Sam hit on something that doesn’t often get a lot of air time: the power of good habits and the discipline to care about the small things. Because when we’re trying to change companies on an atomic level, it can feel like small potatoes to focus on check-in rounds, or writing Slack messages, or how we compose to-do lists.
