Disciple of Experience

Leonardo da Vinci's lack of formal education led him to be a self-taught man who embraced being a disciple of experience and experiments. His free-thinking attitude, devoid of traditional schooling, allowed him to avoid becoming a follower of conventional thinking. Despite being defensive about his lack of formal education, he took pride in his self-taught nature and his ability to learn from personal experiences and experiments, which he considered more valuable than traditional education. This approach is reflected in his extensive notebooks where he criticized those who disparaged him for not adhering to formal education.
