The success of a product is heavily dependent on various drivers, some of which are beyond your control, unlike other key factors. Having more variables to consider and less control over them decreases the ability to steer the future in the desired direction. Unlike fixing mistakes in other situations by putting in extra effort or resources, the inability to efficiently acquire users can hinder progress. Factors like scaling and network effects are crucial, and failure to leverage these can diminish the value generated.
