Such references remind us that today's global economic systems, whether they be rooted in capitalism, politics, or technology, can perpetuate these same injustices. Current political landscapes have evolved into religious-like ideologies, lacking compassion and failing to promote human flourishing. Both the far-right and far-left in politics propagate versions of empire that idolize unjust systems, highlighting the need for a shift towards values that genuinely uplift and empower communities.
