The Definition of Deconstruction and Its Implications in Faith

As a pastor, I rarely use the term deconstruction. However, after a conversation with a student who shared her husband's loss of faith, I began to explore the reasons behind this. I defined deconstruction as systematically dissecting and rejecting beliefs one grew up with. It can involve tearing down false ideas, cultural assumptions, or even historic doctrines. Deconstruction is a complex concept used in various contexts.
