Deep and meaningful side characters in a book should have specific virtues that a vampire would value. Each sibling in a family of side characters represents a different virtue, and trials in the book are based on these virtues. Major side characters require arcs and backstories to make them great.

This episode, the awesome author and educator, Sacha Black, gives us the scoop on developing incredible side characters that will take your story from blah to bleepin’ amazing. She takes us through three different types of side character and how to create juxtapositions that SELL BOOKS.
