Measuring Our Relationship with God

Measuring one's relationship with God based on personal feelings, circumstances, or comparisons to others is flawed and undermines the true nature of that relationship. Believers often create arbitrary scales to evaluate their closeness to God, which can fluctuate with daily events or emotional states. This approach fails to recognize that a relationship with God is a gift that is received rather than something one achieves through self-righteousness or situational comparisons. It emphasizes the need to understand that true faith is not about measuring oneself against others but about embracing the grace and acceptance already given through belief in Jesus.
