Idols Demand Sacrifice and God's Solidarity

Idols of our age demand sacrifice, putting people on metaphorical crosses. As Christians, when we see violence and injustice, we should question where systems of sin and injustice are at play. God's solidarity is shown on the cross, identifying with those who suffer. In moments of suffering and injustice, God's presence is felt as He knows what it's like to be abandoned and grieve.
