Seizing Opportunities through Writing

The speaker realized the need to passively pursue other opportunities while still working a job. Instead of quitting immediately and facing scarcity, the speaker decided to put ideas out there and see what opportunities would find them. Inspired by high-level individuals at BlackRock who wrote insightful emails, the speaker started an internal newsletter to summarize market events and share learning resources. This initiative gained a readership of a couple hundred people within the firm.
