In the process of creating a successful business, it is crucial to select a brand name wisely. By choosing a unique and memorable brand name like 'Rolex,' a business can avoid cannibalizing sales and establish a lasting identity. The name should be short, easy to pronounce in all languages, have a pleasant sound, and be memorable, enabling it to stand out and be easily recognized by consumers.

Rolex was thus able to get several years ahead of other watch manufacturers who persisted in clinging to the pocket watch as their chief product.
