The Question of Infinite Existence according to Vedanta
"That's an explanation. You might say why infinite existence could, the physicist Lawrence Cross said, this is a children's question. Vedanta dismisses the question and says it's wrong. Maya, according to Vedanta, is time space causation. Asking why Maya or why Brahman became the universe requires a because answer, but it doesn't work when questioning causation itself. Time, space, and causation are like asking what is outside space. Before and after only make sense when time has started."
