Writing Fiction, I Do Not Think About Audience

When writing fiction, the focus is on character, emotion, and human motivation rather than the potential reaction of the audience, as it has a magical and transporting quality. It is emphasized that focusing on the audience can lead to self-censorship and result in a false story. In fiction, there is a significant responsibility to truth, and if this responsibility is not upheld, there is no justification for writing fiction. Despite changes in the way books are read and interpreted, it is still important to write without being overly concerned with potential reader reactions. On the other hand, when writing nonfiction, consideration of the intended audience is vital, especially when trying to persuade or bring about a shift in perspective. In the age of social media and likes, limited participation in social media is suggested to maintain focus and avoid the influence of the current digital culture.
