The Cancerous Nature of the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Bureaucracy

The presence of a diversity, equity, and inclusion bureaucracy has become problematic as it tends to perpetuate its existence by emphasizing and exacerbating problems. The establishment of segregated living spaces on college campuses, administrative officers reinforcing separation, and highlighting discrimination issues have led to a more segregated, resentful, and hostile environment. This approach neglects the importance of integration and commonality among individuals, fostering a campus culture that views groups as victims and continuously demands more resources, reinforcing segregated identities. This phenomenon is considered fundamentally illiberal, as it focuses on identities rather than on the content of character, which goes against the liberal idea of judging individuals based on character rather than race or ethnicity.
